A Message from Graham Archer
The following is a link to my own web site which other members may find of interest if they want to create one themselves. Cost is the princely sum of £14.99 for three years! Really easy to setup - even I managed it, so it must be!

Misterton White House Farm and Askham Bryan Rallies

Back home again after two brilliant rallies. Misterton and Askham Bryan, both of which were new venues for us. The beauty of joining such rallies is, of course, that we get to explore new areas, at the same time, meet up once again with old friends, and enjoy their good company. We even had good weather, which in itself is a bit of a bonus this year. We were sorry to see Jack and Marion going home on the back of a trailer following the breakdown of their car. It is obvious from the photo attached that Jack was looking forward to taking a turn at the wheel, if he could only talk the driver into it! We all hope the car is fixed in the near future and they are able to join us once again. Also attached is a photo of a pensioner who really should know better, aiming to knock the photographer for six via the ?death slide?! Our sincere thanks to the rally officers at both venues, without whose encouragement, these things just would not happen.

2007 Holiday Rally

A big thank you to Norma and Bill Hopkinson Marion and Ernie Jones and Lynne and George Stowe for taking over the rally marshals duties on the retired section holiday rally at short notice. We were told the venue was excellent ,but the weather was anything but kind ,and thanks to all the ralliers who travelled to Dorchester and made the rally a success. Even George turned up trumps and managed to help to cook breakfast . We must also thank the dedicated ralliers who came to the Evesham rally regardless of the weather . The sun came out for Anne's unexpected birthday party for a couple of hours which was a very pleasant get together. Thanks again to everyone . Hope that Christine and Graham Archer and Anne and Sid Titterington enjoy the Queens garden party at Buckingham palace (without wellies and brollies).

Best wishes to all , From Jack and Marion, Mick and Anne

Evesham Rally

After an eight week holiday in France it was great to be back with the crowd at this popular venue again. After all the rain we encountered in France, we were hoping for sunny weather in Evesham but most of our time was spent watching the river rising! A great rally, with several pleasant evenings in the club house. Our thanks to all concerned and special appreciation to Gerry and Audrey, as this was their first rally. Thanks also to Jack and Marion Chritchley for giving them so much support. It makes me think, if everyone ran just one rally, we would have no problems filling the programme and new rally officers would be sure to get the support of those who have done so many in the past. Sorry I have no pictures from Evesham but here are a few from France. (Sid's motor mover stuck in the 'on' position as we moved off site, completely blocking the road, in and out, for about an hour!) by Graham Archer

Askham Bryan Rally in York - 17th/21st Sept

Once again the retired section had a fantastic rally on a wonderful site just outside York. The weather was very kind to us. We all went for a fish and chip supper at the Wetherby Whaler. Bill Hopkinson entertained us as usual with his Chicken joke (how many ways can he tell that joke?) and also Ann Brighouse made a great rabbit!!!

The area has fantastic scenery and places to visit.

Tony Roberts Deeside

Congratulations on developing the site which I find loads much quicker than many I have visited. I was particularly impressed with the speed in which you loaded my info, as I received a call from Jack Critchley, who has just been onto the site and was pleasantly surprised to his photo yet again!
nice to be famous, isn't it?

Ilkley Rally - August 06

From Graham Archer

What a marvellous rally we have just had! Only problem being that we are still suffering from social fatigue! Every night in the clubhouse turned out to be a barrel of laughs. Not always intentional, I might add. Congratulations to the officers concerned for a wonderful time. It was also good to see Jack Chritchley back to his old form. On the enclosed photo, he was posing as scarecrow just inside the church at Kettlewell, when in walked a group of children. As Jack sprang to life, I thought we would be guilty of killing them off! They were frightened to death.

Rallies 8 & 9 - Southport & Freckleton - 16th July/28th July 2006

Hi once again from Tony Roberts Deeside. We have just had 2 really good Rallies with the retired section, Southport was a small Rally but possible one of the best Rallies we have been on, with pancake evening, scones and plenty of laughter, melons to cool us down. Jack riding a bike nice to see him back he still has his humour, Stan in a suit Billy with his chicken stunt a really wonderful time had by all except for Mick Morrow Ann kept spending his money in Southport. We then went to Freckleton another good rally with more laughter and John and Joyce doing hot dogs. Marian going for papers every day evenings on the field with plenty of the amber nectar, a pity it all had to end, but we will meet up in Ilkley. I hope you like this photo.

Stratford-upon-Avon

Hi just thought that I would send you a photo taken on Stratford-upon-Avon retired section Rally, if anything goes wrong don't worry this is all the men you need to mend a fuse, it appears Harold had trouble with his solar panel it took some time but the band of experts soon sorted it. I always enjoy Freedom but now that I belong to the retired section it gets better, so anyone eligible to join do so. This new web site is sure to be a great success thanks very much.
